I particularly love the association of complementary colours, the dominant blue tones, expressing the nightly and mysterious atmosphere, with touches of warmer orange brought by the lamps.
Surprisingly, the night is bright, while the lamps hardly pierce the darkness. The resulting contrast adds even more richness to the background, that could be a great manip on its own.
Finally, the choice of the model is just perfect, as it matches the background perfectly well, while the use of a masked beauty reinforces the idea of mystery carried out by the entire picture in accordance to its intent.
